So week 3 started off with me going to the gym twice. I did weights for 45 mins in the morning and then a 6KM run in the evening. I find the 6 KM quite good. It is just within my limit at the moment, and it is not too easy. I did the same on the Tuesday and on the Wednesday. At the end of the 6KM on the wednesday my legs were done though.. So I took it easy on the Thur + Fri and only went to the gym the once each day without any running
On the Sunday I went with my good friend David K for a 5.3KM around Phoenix Park on the softer grass (read mud!!). That was quite tough on my calves, but I found the lungs kept up, so that was good news
I have to be careful I don't over do it, and burn out too quickly
But thanks to everyone that has supported me again.
I will start posting some pictures of my running trails soon. I will go running a bit in Spain over the New Year, so hopefully that will add to my stamina
Keep you all posted, and good health

Getting somewhere
Wow, with all your help I have raised 1,275 Euro so far. That is brilliant. I now need my dear colleagues to help me a bit more. Payday was yesterday, so maybe I can get some help now?
As for the running, I took it easy on Sat+ Sund. Did not want my body to completely collapse on me after all my gym work last week. I did a 6KM on Monday and another one last night (Wed) in the gym. Both felt good, and I feel I could have done 8-9KM quite easy. That is a good sign, that at least my lungs are holding up.
My aim is to definitely get under 60 mins, and I really wanna get close to 50 mins. I may be a bit too ambitious, but if you dont aim high you will never reach the stars..
Please all pledge at:

Or you can send me an email and pledge cash and I will collect in March.
Thanks again for all your support

Run run
Went for a little 3 miler with my mate Nicholas Johnson and I felt so good. Whatever I am doing in the gym is working. I could have run twice the distance, so that bodes well.
Thank you to all who have pledged, please pledge again

The first day of training
So here we go again. I have decided to do the 10 KM run, even though I nearly killed myself in the hail storm this year. But being competitive I know I can do better than 67 mins. 3 years ago I did it in 54 mins, and I want to do better.
But I also want to raise money for my charity again. Debra Ireland is such a worthy cause I can't stop thinking about the work they do. So, my sacrifice is small compared to a lot of people
If you can give, I have a pledging page. My target is 2,500 -3,000 Euro. Ambitious I know, but it can be done. Here is the page:

So, first day. I went to spinning at lunch time with Bill my boss, and I am going back to boxercise tonight. I am determined to get really fit this time and no excuses.
I am also eating differently, so hopefully I can get to about 15 stone in weight. Currently I am 15 st 10 LBS, which is too much for a runner
Keep you all posted, but please pledge
YOU ONLY GET TO KEEP WHAT YOU GIVE AWAY
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It's a universal law:
You have to give before you get.
You must plant your seeds before you reap the harvest.
The more you sow, the more you'll reap.
In giving to others, you'll find yourself blessed.
The law works to give you back more than you have sown.
The giver's harvest is always full.
Those that obtain have little.
Those who scatter have much.
Nature does not give to those who will not spend.
Thanks
